Problem
The existing dashboard overwhelmed users with too much information at once. Dense data tables, poor hierarchy, and cluttered layouts made it difficult for users to quickly assess market conditions and make informed trading decisions.
Cannot remove data points - all information must remain accessible
Real-time updates must not be jarring or distracting
Must work across different screen sizes and devices
Approach
Analyzed user behavior through heatmaps and session recordings. Conducted surveys with 100+ active traders to understand information priorities. Created progressive disclosure patterns and improved visual hierarchy through whitespace and typography.
